Don’t make THIS mistake this January!
‘Get healthy’ was the number #1 resolution for 2017 according to the data pulled from Google by iQuanti.
This is no surprise, it consistently tops the list almost every year. But what big mistake are we making that it needs to remain on our new years resolutions list year after year?
According to weight-loss specialist Charlie Seltzer, M.D, the biggest blunder is that we try to eliminate all our bad habits at once because its the beginning of the year. Thats right, over-committing is the biggest blunder.
Seltzer explained “If you tell someone who drinks seven sodas a day to drink six, that might be difficult but they could likely do it. But when you tell them not to drink any soda at all, they fail 100 percent of the time.”
So what is the solution and how do we ensure we CAN fufill our resolution of ‘getting healthy’ this year?
START SMALL and set realistic, attainable goals. Once once you knock the simpler goal over – then commit more, but do this bit by bit. Instead of committing to exercise 5 times per week, commit to 3. Then once you fulflll that goal add more. Increasing will then be a decision you make because you want to, not because you have to.
So lets knock our goals over for 2017 shall we?
